FAQ
What security and permission questions should users understand first?
Automation rests on limited authorization. You should know exactly what you submitted, what the platform can do, and how to revoke it at any time.
How are my exchange API keys stored?
Keys, secrets and passphrases are stored encrypted, never shown in plain text. Create a dedicated API key, enable an IP allowlist, grant only read and trade permissions, and rotate regularly. No online system is absolutely risk-free; when done, revoke the key on the exchange and delete the binding here at any time.
What permissions does Quanton need?
Only read-account and trade permissions — never withdrawal or transfer. Always disable withdrawal on the key so it cannot move funds out. Trade permission can still place orders and lose money, so startsmall, enable an IP allowlist, and revoke the API immediately on anything unusual.
Does my capital ever enter Quanton accounts?
No. Funds always stay in your own exchange account; Quanton places, cancels and queries orders through the API you authorized. Deposits and withdrawals remain yours to make on the exchange.
Do I need to hand over a wallet private key?
Exchange strategies and paper trading need none. Only opting into live on-chain trading uses a dedicated custodial wallet generated by the platform — it never accepts your existing keys, signing runs isolated, and it can be deleted whenever no live positionremains open. Use a small dedicated wallet — never your main one.
Does Quanton guarantee profits?
No — and be wary of anything that does. Quanton makes trading disciplined and problems legible; profit depends on the market and your decisions.
Can I use it with zero quant knowledge?
Yes. The AI pre-configures a full parameter set for each coin's volatility profile — apply with one tap. If something goes wrong later, the AI diagnoses it and tells you what to change.
Can I try it for free?
Yes. Sign-up gives you the full paper-trading experience at no cost. Once the workflow makes sense, decide whether to connect a real account.
